Laser Synthesizer - IT9200
The IT9200 is a synthesized frequency source that can be phase locked to an external reference originating from a short-pulsed laser system. Synthesized output frequencies can be programmed to integral multiples of the reference. The basic source has an operating range from 4-10 GHz with a tuning resolution of 1 MHz. Options are available to extend the frequency range from 10-20 GHz with 2 MHz resolution, as well as an option to go from 2-4 GHz with 0.5 MHz resolution. When not used with an external laser reference signal, the source can be used as a general frequency synthesizer using an internal or external 10 MHz crystal reference.

About the Firmware and Software
The instrument is based on a NetBurner MOD5272 board and uses a Crystal Fontz 4X20 LCD display. The instrument is Ethernet enabled, SCPI compatible and can be programmed in a variety of ways.

The IT9200 ships with a C# .NET 2.0 GUI application (shown at left) that allows exercising all of the instruments capabilities through a simple visual interface. If you need to write your own program, a C# .DLL is also included that provides a very easy to use API for controlling the instrument. Finally, you can control the instrument using the text based SCPI protocol over Ethernet
