King NuTronics Torque Calibration System GUI and NetBurner Firmware
Syncor wrote both the firmware that runs in the embedded NetBurner MOD-5272 processor on the King NuTronics torque calibration system and the Windows application that controls it. This solution allowed us to keep the costs of firmware development very low and put the sophisticated processing, calibration and display capabilities into the the C# .NET application where complex code is easier to write, unit test, upgrade and debug. The windows application was designed to run on a Net Book that ships with the instrument in lieu of the old dedicated controller box. The firmware supports a SCPI programming syntax that was encapsulated in an easy to use C# .DLL. The main test page for the instrument is show below.
